Carnitas meat was frigid cold - replacement had cold beans and stale tortilla

I wanted to like this place as I had heard good things about it. I'm a super burrito connoisseur and was ready for a new gastric challenge. I went to Chipotle in Berkeley on Gilman. Their very simple menu with large lettering was welcoming, but I didn't see their Monster Burrito of which there are videos on Youtube. I ordered their Carnitas burrito, and next was asked what kind of beans I want, and what kind of sauce. Burrito and drink cost $8.23, and I started to eat.

The pork carnitas meat was stone cold. I mean just-out-of-the-refrigerator cold. I kept eating it, because I was starving, and I thought perhaps it is some specialty of Chipotles. I went to the counter and asked if the meat was supposed to be cold, and they said no, and so I told them the meat in my burrito was cold, and they kindly offered to make me a second new one. That is a definite plus, though I wasn't too hungry anymore. I got the second burrito and started in on it, but this time the beans were cold, and a part of the tortilla was hard and stale. Neither of my burritos were wrapped tightly.

If the burritos were hot and made properly it would be a fair value for the money. 2.5 stars.
