I have had Chipotle about four times this past two weeks with friends.
Food seems decent, the taco shells crunchy and the filling is reasonably tasty.
Tonight was interesting. The woman behind me gets asked if she would like the beans with PORK or the vegiie black beans.
I am not vegetarian but I do not eat pork for food allergy reasons.
In all of my visits, not once has anyone told me that by ordering the pinto beans I would be consuming a food I cannot tolerate.
It is not listed on the menu as having pork/bacon but only online. It is not listed in the iPhone app either.
I have experienced some stomach and other issues and attributed it to other things. but after tonight, I realized that the only common thread was eating the pork/bacon-laced pinto beans that were not correctly labeled.
My next letter will be to the various departments, federal and state, that require accurate food labeling for restaurants.
