We just got a chipotle in our town, to much general rejoicing and excitement among my wife's coworkers, many of whom are from colorado. My wife says it's like they put crack in it or something the way they go on about this place. Yesterday we were in the neighborhood around lunch so let's check it out. This was the first time either of us have eaten there. More than 30 people in line, so I suggest we go anywhere else. No no, it's really good and the line moves fast she says, which was true, the line was really fast. Place seemed really clean, everyone was really nice. So far so good. I get pork tacos, she gets a steak bowl. My tacos had a vague soapy taste, nothing about them tasted good really. They had pork, lettuce, salsa, and cheese, in my mind, hard to mess up, but they managed to. She let me try hers, and while it didn't taste like soap, it was bland, not at all distinctive in any way. I left hungry, she pretty much shrugged, like what's the big deal about this place? Any taco truck I've ever been to has better tacos and burritos than this, so I don't know why it's so popular. Never again will I waste my money there.
