From the time I started working I knew, my boss knew and everyone above them knew, we had illegals working for us. It was just a part of life. After INS swept through and fired 400 of 1200 workers it sent shockwaves through Minnesota. Not shockwaves because there were that many illegals, but shockwaves of how the hell are we ever going to be able to do all of that work by ourselves. There were protest (Google Chipotle protest) there were rallies because the illegals felt I guess that they deserved their jobs. Well don't you fret about those poor little illegals, they are back at work at Chipotle even filling right back into GM and Restaurateur spots, but with names like Wendy and Carl... You don't even mention it though. I asked my boss how Juan the GM of a store who was fired at one location suddenly replaced a fired black GM at another store is now Joe. I was told we don't talk about it. Hmm... Shady as hell if you ask me.
